Why Green?

What does ‘green’ mean to you? Conjure up in your mind a picture of nature, what do you see? Green forests, vast green fields, cascading waterfalls and serene lakes. Freeze these images in your mind and step into the reality of our world. Human impact on our fragile ecosystem is devastating.
The use of synthetic chemical compounds and cleaning agents introduced into the environment are known to have detrimental effects on our delicate ecosystems with consequences ranging from mild to severe for terrestrial, aquatic animals, humans and plant life.

Our health risks

Increased focus and scientific research concerning the impact of cleaning products has emerged and been proven that the effects of these products on our environment and our health are profound.
We are constantly bombarded with facts and figures regarding the use of chemicals in our daily lives and words such as Volatile Organic Compounds, Perchloroethylene, Formaldehyde, Benzene, chlorofluorocarbons and chlorocarbons (learn more - Media Centre link) are being used around us.
Health risks ranging from endocrine disruption, gene dysfunction and poor indoor air quality to name just a few have been linked to ingredients used in chemical cleaning products. If all this sounds very frightening and depressing, it is, but fortunately we have all the solutions necessary to combat this environmental destruction and we can eliminate the health risks if we adapt our way of life to a more sustainable and green way of living.
